The Full Color Method
A practical way to preserve the source, widen the view, inspect what changed, return to reality, and decide what happens next.
AI can enlarge an idea, translate it, challenge it, professionalize it, and simulate how other people may receive it. Those abilities can be useful. They can also conceal how much the object changed along the way.
The Full Color Method is the practical application of PRISM. It helps a person use machine-generated language without mistaking reflection for corroboration, fluency for evidence, continued drafting for consent, or movement for truth.

Preserve What Entered
Save the starting object before improvement makes its origin difficult to see.
Ask
- —What exactly did I enter?
- —Where did it come from?
- —Is it a fact, memory, allegation, possibility, inference, metaphor, or question?
- —What do I already believe about it?
- —What consequence am I contemplating?
- —What information has not yet been verified?
- —Which wording is mine?
- —Which wording came from another person, record, source, or model?
Name the room
Ask:

The same sentence may be harmless in a rehearsal room and dangerous in a decision room.
Preserve the following material without improving it. Identify its source, current claim status, uncertainty, assumptions, and contemplated use. Do not treat it as true merely because it appears in the prompt.

Refract this object through several clearly labeled and provisional perspectives. For each perspective, identify what it inherited from the original prompt, what it added, what it may be missing, and why it should not be treated as an independent witness.

Inspect the generated material for inherited assumptions, false corroboration, omissions, rhetorical inflation, status drift, professionalization, identity claims, and criticism that did not materially change the object. Separate increased evidentiary support from increased persuasive force.

A model can help prepare the question. It cannot become the source, witness, institution, body, or person the question requires.
Identify every material question that cannot responsibly be answered by further generation. For each, name the external source, person, record, expert, test, institution, event, or physical-world return required.

Use it in a consequential decision.
Stop
End the cycle.
Curiosity is not acceptance. Praise is not acceptance. Asking for another draft is not acceptance. Continued engagement is not acceptance.
Prepare a disposition docket, but do not choose the disposition for me. Present the options Accept, Modify, Reject, Hold, Verify, and Route Elsewhere. Then separately present Revise, Transmit, Act, and Stop. Wait for an explicit human decision.

1. Original client statement
The client tells the lawyer what they think happened, in their own words.
2. AI-generated theory
The system drafts a stronger, more legible version of the theory.
3. Simulated defense objection
PRISM refracts: ask the system to generate the opposing side's strongest counterargument, clearly labeled as simulated.
4. Professionalized legal formulation
The system restates the strengthened theory in formal legal language.
5. Status-drift risk
Inspect: did possibility quietly become premise somewhere along this path?
6. External records required
Seek external return: identify the documents, witnesses, and testing this theory actually requires.
7. Human disposition
The lawyer decides: hold, verify, modify, or reject — and whether to transmit or stop.
